Many players have expressed concerns that Microsoft's acquisition of Minecraft would cause things like texture and skin packs to be XBOX exclusives, but so far, that has not been the case. Even with Minecon, Minecraft's large annual convention around the game, Microsoft has clearly said they have no intention to intervene, but rather watch, learn, and enjoy the convention with the players, letting it go as it always has since 2011 with minimal, if any, interference.
